Accounting Officer

Location: Kalispell, Montana or Cheyenne, Wyoming
These are not remote or hybrid positions 

Duties and responsibilities:

•       Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure compliance and timely accounting.

•       Develops systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.

•       Utilize various forms of QuickBooks and online platforms to maintain and manage client financial data

•       Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

•       Balances subsidiary accounts and general ledgers by reconciling entries.

•       Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

•       Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

•       Nurture and build the virtual client relationship.

•       Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

•       Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

•       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

•       Previous bookkeeping or accounting related experience required (2 Years Preferred)

•       QuickBooks experience (2 Years Preferred)

•       Capable of working with multiple clients on multiple projects with little supervision

Must have:

•       Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas

•       Competence in analyzing financial data making clear and precise recommendations

•       Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

•       Enjoys teaching financial concepts to clients and team

•       Familiar with and enjoys working on the internet – Technologically savvy

•       Excellent time management with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks at once

•       Systems thinker - enjoys working with and creating systems

•       Critical thinker - can view things from multiple directions – a willingness to ask questions

•       Problem solver with a commitment to win / win

•       Self-starter who takes initiative in accomplishing work

•       Enjoys a fast paced environment
