Turning to 2025

The Christmas holiday is fast approaching and with it comes the end of the year.  Christmas is my favorite holiday; it is filled with expectation and hope. There are expectations that come from traditions, celebrations, and connections, and hope for the beginning of a new year that will be filled with unimagined blessings.

The New Year presents us with a clean slate on which we can create whatever is on our hearts to create.

So where do you start?

What about being still?

In the last year one very powerful lesson I learned from Dan Sullivan, who runs a company called Strategic Coach, is that you build in your “Free Days” first.  Another mentor calls it “Creating Spaciousness” and another calls it, self-care. Bottom line is that every successful entrepreneur needs time in their calendar to rest.

As a woman and as a lifelong “doer” or “type A personality” or whatever other definition you have for it, this has been a significant transition.  AND what I have learned has been significant. There is a lot of truth in the analogy that you can’t truly take care of others to the best of your ability until you first take care of yourself.

Oh yes, I have all the arguments about doing what is good and right and being productive and, and, and, AND what I have learned is that when you hear “in order to speed up you must first slow down” you will want to pay attention and figure out what that needs to look like for you in your life.

As you turn to 2025 be bold and truly determine how you want your life to look, how you want to feel every day, and what will be the most important thing you can do in 2025 to set yourself up to win for the next 10, 20, 30 years.

And then, yes, use all the tools like your calendar and your financial forecast to create the roadmap. Life will happen in 2025 and none of us know how so be prepared to be flexible, it could be even better than you can imagine today!

Happy New Year!

In Abundance,

Sue
